Summer vacation in Brixental Valley

The region is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Numerous well-signposted hiking trails lead through picturesque landscapes, past alpine pastures, waterfalls and mountain lakes. Mountain bikers and cyclists will find a variety of routes in Brixental Valley that are suitable for both the sporty and the leisurely.

Tip: Hike the mountains that give our apartments their name: Schwarzkogel, Großer Rettenstein, Gampenkogel & Pengelstein!

On warm summer days, numerous natural bathing lakes such as the Schwarzsee with its lido, the Gieringer Weiher or the Hintersteinersee invite you to swim and relax. The bathing establishments in Kirchberg, Westendorf and Going also offer the best opportunities to cool off and have fun in the water.

Those planning a whole day of swimming can also consider a day trip to Zell am See, Achensee, Walchsee or to Bavaria to Chiemsee.

Worthwhile excursions lead to charming towns such as Kitzbühel, St. Johann, Westendorf, Hall in Tirol or Alpbach im Alpbachtal, which is a World Heritage Site. If you want to experience even more culture, you can take day trips to the historic cities of Innsbruck, Salzburg or Kufstein.

How about a relaxing day on the Vordermitterast? The hotel's own private pool is a wonderful place to relax; the spacious sunbathing lawn with views of the unique mountain panorama invites you to sunbathe, read or linger while the scent of fresh hay wafts across the surrounding meadows.
